General FAQs

Why do I need a digital lock?

With a digital lock, you can unlock your door via one of the features - fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, emergency key, facial recognition and mobile phone.

You no longer need to bring keys around with you and you no need to worry about losing your keys anymore. (However, you are advised to keep the mechanical overriding key out and reachable in times of emergency. For example: car, office, family's place.)

Which digital lock is suitable for my house?

Before coming for onsite consultation, please remember to do the following steps:

1) Take a photo of your current door lock, door and gate. Measure the gap space between your door and your gate (from your gate or door to your handle).

2) Send/show the photo to our professional consultant, and they will recommend you the most suitable for your door type.

Note: Different door lock types require different digital locks to install. We will do our best to find the most suitable lock for your door.

Why are some digital locks much cheaper elsewhere?

Parallel imports (also called grey or direct imports) are products that you buy from a seller who does not have specific permission from the manufacturer to sell those products. Most parallel import sets don't come with local support.

Locks that are generally cheaper are usually parallel import sets. We do not recommend getting parallel imports as they have not approved by the Singapore Government (IMDA) or other tests.

There are companies in the market selling parallel import Samsung Digital Lock. These locks are designed to use in Korea (dry weather, certain components are not suitable for high humidity conditions which may cause malfunction or shorten the life span of products. Most of these companies outsource the installation to freelance installer and the workmanship is usually not consistent with original standard.

In any case of emergency, these companies might not have the 24/7 service to provide for you. The possibility of you locked in/out of the house is therefore high.

What type of batteries should I use?

Most digital Locks requires double A batteries. We highly recommend using Panasonic Evolta and Duracell alkaline as they have anti-leak seals to prevent battery leakage.

As for remote control, we recommend using Panasonic Evolta CR2032 batteries OR Panasonic Evolta triple A batteries.

For digital mailbox locks, we recommend using Panasonic Evolta CR1220 batteries.

How long does batteries last?

We recommend customers to change their batteries once every 6 months to prevent battery leakage.

We recommend using Panasonic Evolta or Duracell Alkaline to prolong the life of your digital locks. Other brands or models of batteries might be too powerful or too weak that might cause issues to your digital locks in the long run.

How long does installation take?

Installation of digital locks and accessories will take about 1 to 4 hours.

Are delivery and installation free?

Yes, every digital locks purchased comes with free delivery and installation.

When can I schedule for installation?

Installations are available every Monday to Saturday, excluding Sundays and public holidays, between 10am to 7pm.

After purchase, we will contact you for the installation schedule.

Please note that most Condo and Apartments do not allow drilling works after 5pm on weekdays and 12pm on Saturday. Sundays and public holidays are not allowed by most Condo/Apartment management.

Do I need to register warranty?

Some brands require you to register warranty. Please check with your salesperson about it. Our staff will inform you regarding warranty registration before the purchase.

Tips to prolong the lifespan of your digital lock.

  • Use only alkaline batteries as they are less prone to leakage and last longer.
  • Do not use rechargeable batteries or mix new and old batteries.
  • Change your batteries once every 6 months, whether it has power. It will prevent battery leakage or you being locked outside of the house.
  • A door closer or soft closing mechanisim must be installed, to protect your door from hard slamming. Do note that distributors have the right to void your warranty.
  • Always get your products from a reliable source or brand as parallel imports are not authorized/approved to be installed in Singapore as many locks go through rigorous testing before being allowed to be installed. All of ours locks are IMDA approved.

Remote control for the gate lock is not working.

The most common issue is the remote control is low on battery.

The other common issue is that the gate mechanism is loose, due to the constant impact of the gate when closing.

Here are the quick fix:

1. Remove the battery cover of the digital gate lock (some require you to remove the screw that holds it in place).

2. In the battery compartment, you will see a module inside.

3. Remove and re-insert the module and the batteries.

4. Remove and re-insert the remote control batteries.

5. Test the remote control and digital gate lock.

If this does not fix your issue, please call our hotline (+65 6966 6788) or whatsapp the salesperson for further assistance.
